Sushi or something still feels very Japanese, and some of the other ones are obvious European and American styles. A large pot of them is very enjoyable. GRILLED BRANDT BEEF SIRLOIN mixed taste.

PABU Izakaya

My friend is a vegetarian and we came here for lunch. I got the combo chicken meal and she got the vegetarian. Portions were large, lots of naan, and the food tasted very flavorful and good! The only downside is the very limited lunch menu.

This was one of the restaurants recommended by our concierge. We tried the &quot;Incredible Sushi&quot; which has shrimp and asparagus, cooked tempura style, wrapped in a makizushi style and drizzled in some fantastic sauce - very unique dish. We also had some of their okonomiyaki - which was a bit different from what I would call traditional but nonetheless, it tasted great. Definitely on my list to go back when we visit SF again.

Loved the food . Would especially recommend the spiced edamame , seaweed salad and Japanese doughnuts. The tasting menu was fab for the omnivores.

We chose this restaurant to celebrate a family birthday. We ordered a lot of food that we shared within a party of 9. We ordered a lot of the robatayaki, which was the highlight of the meal for me. It was skewers of pieces of savory meat. We tried the beef tongue, pork belly, chicken tail, and chicken hearts. All very tasty, but I think the chicken tail was my favorite. Other then that, we had the Tokyo fried chicken, which everyone enjoyed and different sushi rolls, which honestly weren&#39;t anything special. The skewers were better. I had some kind of ribs, which I think were a special for the evening, that were really too spicy to enjoy. I didn&#39;t end up finishing them. Some other members of our party had the black cod, someone tried the shabu shabu, and someone else had a big bowl filled with different things all on top of rice. I can&#39;t remember what it was called, but he enjoyed it. All in all, we all left stuffed and satisfied. Just for the robatayaki alone, I would go back. Expensive though. But for San Francisco, that&#39;s expected.

Food taste and quality were average. Ordered many small dishes plus the Japanese wagyu beef teppanyaki but wasn&#39;t special at $95. Nicely decorated with a large bar area, seemed to cater more to single workers around the area. A bit noisy if you&#39;re seated next to the long bar. Overall pricing would be similar to Mina&#39;s but would be a better choice to go there instead.
